District Job Descriptions
COMMITTEE: MEMBERSHIP
APPOINTMENT: Appointed by the Governor with approval of the District Board of Directors.
TERM OF OFFICE: Two years
ROLE: Work with the District Leadership on Membership Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Biennium Program Presentation: To work with the Program Coordinator as requested to present the biennium Membership Development goals at the Program Presentation when Governor is installed.
  2. By-laws, Policies and Procedures: To become familiar with the following, particularly as they pertain to Membership:
    1. By-laws on all three levels of Altrusa to become familiar with their provisions.
    2. Parliamentary Procedures.
    3. The responsibilities of all District Committees.
    4. The District Policies and Procedures
  3. District: To know the District, study its geography and locations for clubs.
  4. Conference:
    1. To conduct Membership Development workshops at the Conferences during the Biennium and other workshops as assigned by the Governor.
    2. To compile the Joella Terrill Butler Membership Awards, with membership information supplied by the District Treasurer.
    3. To attend the Leadership Luncheon at Conference.
  5. Fall Leadership Event: To participate in the Fall Leadership Event as requested by the Governor or Program Coordinator.
  6. Club Questions: To respond to questions from the clubs within the district concerning installations, initiations, new club building, et al.
  7. News of Mighty Ninth: To contribute articles as assigned by the Governor.
  8. Correspondence: To respond promptly to any communication from local clubs, other District Officers or from Altrusa International.
  9. Expenses: To submit reimbursement forms promptly for expenses covered in the District Policies.
