Nominees are needed for consideration by the District Nine Nominating Committee for positions on the 2027-2029 District Nine Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee will recommend a slate of candidates for inclusion on the ballot for election at the 2027 District Nine Conference in April 2027.
Serving on the District Nine Board is a wonderful opportunity to help shape the future of Altrusa in Texas. District Nine Altrusans are encouraged to take this important step in leadership and join those currently serving to help ensure a strong line of succession, stability and growth for District Nine.
Who Is Eligible?
Eligibility is open to all active Altrusans in District Nine who have served as President of a District Nine club.
Positions to Be Elected
The following positions will be filled by election in 2027:
- Governor-Elect
- First Vice Governor
- Second Vice Governor
- Two Director positions
- Treasurer
Kimberly Kierce will automatically serve as as Immediate Past Governor. Linda Hurt will automatically serve as Governor. The positions of Parliamentarian and Secretary will be appointed by the incoming Governor.

Members of the 2026-2028 District Nine Nominating Committee are not eligible for nomination for the 2027-2029 District Board election.
Eligibility Requirements
For information purposes, District Bylaws, Article XI, Section 1(d) and (i), provide the following:
- No more than two elected officers may be from the same club during any term.
- Candidates must be active members in good standing at the time of nomination and election.
- To be eligible for Governor-Elect, a candidate must have previously served a full term as a member of the District Board.
- To be eligible for any District office other than Treasurer, a member must have completed a full term as Club President or be serving as Club President at the time of election.
- To be eligible for District Treasurer, a member must have completed a full term as Club President or Club Treasurer, or be serving in one of those positions at the time of election, and must have general accounting knowledge or experience.
