Altrusa of Waxahachie brings together individuals who are passionate about volunteering, promoting literacy, and strengthening our local community. Here, you’ll have opportunities to serve, learn, teach, and develop leadership skills, all while building lasting friendships.

Altrusa Waxahachie donated toy items to the Nicholas P. Sims Library in Waxahachie. The donated toys will be part of the "End of Summer Reading Carnival", scheduled for July 26th at 1:00 PM.
We're Going on a "Literacy" Bear Hunt!

The Bear Hunt Literacy Project was a family-friendly literacy event hosted in partnership with Sims Library and Impact Communities. The event featured a bear-themed scavenger hunt, a hands-on teddy bear stuffing activity, Storytime, and take-home literacy materials. Children received books, activity kits, and stuffed bears to encourage reading at home. The project strengthened community partnerships, promoted library engagement, and provided an inclusive, joyful experience for families.
